AVEPANE has promoted actions to achieve cooperation with other countries
in Interinstitutional exchange relations that have generated large resources
in achieving our future programs and projects, inter alia: UNESCO, Glarp,
Camrod, OAS, ANDE, Very Special Arts, International League for Mental Retardation,
Cilpedim, Real Patronato Español, Kennedy Foundation.
In the forefront of modern inventions the difficult and costly task of presenting social problems utilizing image as a teaching resource in the education of our youth has been imposed, producing nationally and internationally renown audiovisuals such as the "DECALOGUE OF PREVENTION OF MENTAL RETARDATION", that earned the first prize at an International Congress held at Canada.
Other audiovisuals have been greatly praised, among them: "THE HANDICAPPED CHILD. PREVENTION AND TREATMENT. LOOKING TOWARDS THE FUTURE", "POTENTIAL YOUTH OF NATIONS", "THE IMPACT OF MALNUTRITION", "THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BRAIN. CHALLENGE AND DESTINY".
AVEPANE has compiled Reports of the Conferences given at each event, and as a sound contribution to scientific and technological thought related with multiple aspects inherent to the study of mental retardation, it published the book titled MENTAL RETARDATION, that is a compilation of papers written for this publication that presents approaches, methods, treatment techniques, principles of administrative, juridical and social policies nature, according to research made both in Venezuela as well as elsewhere. With this publication, AVEPANE expressed its spirit of excellence in the effort and search for new possibilities for the human being.
