AVEPANE looks after children, teen-agers and adults from different
social levels referred by schools, private clinics, hospitals, social welfare
bureaus and, oftentimes, by initiative of the parents.
Integral Center of Special Education: It trains children and teen-agers
in academic and work areas with participation in various cultural, recreational
and sports activities and provides expert attention in charge of a multidisciplinary
team.
It currently is in the process of reorganization for integrating students of the work area of this Center into the Training and Production Workshop.
Special Notice: Ingrid Benmergui Benzecri inspired the creation of AVEPANE and as a deserved recognition, the Board of Directors agreed to confer her name to this Center.
Arts and Crafts Workshop: It is a center of education and training
of human resources, whose goal is the social integration and training of
the apprentice users of the Workshop and young persons from the adjacent
community who have not completed their basic education. At the "Arts
and Crafts" Gallery, the objects manufactured and shown and sold by
the Apprentices of the Workshop.
Training and Production Workshop: The apprentices work at the areas of Ceramics, Sewing and Handicrafts, Horticulture and Gardening. At the present time an agreement was signed with the Ministry for the Family to open the areas of Silk-screening, repair of household appliances and to expand those already established, both in physical space as well as in population.

Avepane University Institute: Established in the year 1972 by Decree 919 of the Presidency of the Republic; a pioneer in the education of specialized personnel. Its objective it to train the human resources required at higher level in the area of Special Education. The curriculum is administered under the system of semester having a duration of six academic periods. It offers the following careers:
- Higher Technical Level in Special Education, Major in Mental Retardation and Learning Disabilities; Sports and Recreation for Individuals with Special Needs; and Preschool Education.
- Degree in Education, Major in Special Education. In the near future
the Avepane University Institute shall be established at Maracay, State
of Aragua.

Alegría Preschool Center of Child Creativity. It is geared towards
the creativity and performance of individual abilities, training the child
for the basic school. Age: From 3 to 6 years.
